1. Euchre is a trick-taking game with a trump suit, played by four players in teams of two.
2. Players decide the trump suit starting with the player to the dealer's left.
3. Players can pass or order the suit up, making it the trump.
4. The top card of the deck is turned face up to determine the potential trump suit.
5. Highest card in the leading suit wins the trick unless a trump card is played.
6. Unique ranking: Right Bower (Jack of trump suit), Left Bower (Jack of same color suit), Ace, King, Queen, 10, 9.
7. Players must follow the suit led if they can; otherwise, they can play any card.
8. If all players pass, they name a different suit or pass again.
9. Euchre uses a deck of 24 cards: 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of each suit.
10. The dealer must name a trump if all pass again.
11. The team that picks the trump (Makers) must win at least three tricks to score.
